What has Biden done for New Hampshire?

What has Biden done for NH?

MAGA people whine constantly that the country is much worse off than when their boy sat in the White House. Not so. And not so in a big way. President Biden inherited a pandemic that he addressed with a swiftness and forthrightness that was both amazing and effective. Beyond that Biden’s record is stellar. Here are some of the cold hard facts with verifiable numbers leading the way (unlike MAGA folks who offer nothing but whining).

Biden’s Invest in America Agenda targets money at just the right places to make sure every dollar creates jobs, solves a real problem, and generates more reinvestment money. His Invest in America Agenda is implemented primarily by four pieces of legislation passed under his administration: American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act. Companies have committed over $320 million in private sector investments across New Hampshire. This money creates solid Granite State jobs that will make our economy more than competitive, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and internet connectivity that will continue to generate investment and jobs into the distant future.

Let’s get specific about real investment in NH to create real jobs:

PCI Pharma Services will invest $100 million in a biologic packaging and specialty manufacturing facility in Bedford.
Lonza Biologics, will invest $220 million into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Portsmouth.
Onsemi will create 200 high-paying manufacturing jobs when it expands its semiconductor production in Hudson.

A new age needs new infrastructure. Biden’s Invest in American Agenda will bring $752 million for 37 infrastructure projects across New Hampshire. $601 million of this money helps improve our transportation system: roads, bridges, and roadway safety, with over $92 million to improve access to clean water. When a nation’s infrastructure has been neglected for so long the only solution that makes sense is to go big or go home and these are big numbers.

Let’s get specific about real investment in our state that will generate decades of smart growth:

$19.5 million goes to Berlin that needs it for a snow-melt system as well as to rehabilitate roads, sidewalks, and municipal parking. Reduced maintenance costs will rejuvenate Berlin’s economic center during the winter so their local businesses can continue to operate for the community’s economic well-being.
$4.1 million goes to Manchester-Boston Regional airport for infrastructure upgrading. The improvements will make the airport viable, flexible, and adaptable in the highly competitive area of air transportation.
$1.4 million allows the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to repair dams and roadway at Hopkinton Everett Lakes.
$1.6 million allows the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to complete dredging of Portsmouth Harbor.
Jobs and small business are vital to our state and Biden has done a remarkable job.

Let’s get specific:

4.8% - NH unemployment rate in Nov. 2020; 2.1% in October 2023
48,000+ jobs created that allow people to earn their way to a better future.
28,000+ new small business applications between 2021 and 2022.

Biden knows that as small businesses go, so goes the nation. Therefore, he has invested money to help make this knowledge a reality. Even though the pandemic hit small businesses hard, Biden jumped into action. His timely investment money gives life to our state’s small business community when they need it the most.

Let’s get specific:

417 restaurants and bars and 590 child-care programs across the Granite State stayed open because of President Biden.
$61 million dollars are being infused into small business loans using the State Small Business Credit Initiative.
Some people stop listening at the mention of Climate Crisis. They might believe it is real but find it overwhelming and want to block it out. Such head-in-the-sand thinking never wins the day. Biden knows that Winston Churchill once said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” The Climate Crisis can be seen as a threat, or as an opportunity to make the nation smarter, healthier, and safer through wise investment. Biden sees the Climate Crisis as a challenging opportunity.

Biden wants to use this opportunity to improve our nation in sustainable, resilient, and safe ways. Extreme weather can stop an economy in the short run and repeated bad weather can kill it in the long run. Biden cannot control the weather, but he is helping.

Let’s get specific:

EV (new and used) discounts will benefit hundreds of thousands of Granite Staters because of Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act
A network of charging stations has already started across the state (and nation) through Biden’s use of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Soon we will be able to use EVs to travel pollution-free knowing we can get a quick and easy charge any time we need.
41,000 NH farmers are being helped by investing in climate-smart agriculture practices.
80,000+ NH homes and businesses are being helped through initiatives to deliver clean, cheap, and resilient electricity

Families need relief and Biden is acting to address this need through his Investing in America Agenda.

Let’s get specific:

275,000+ Granite Staters on Medicare will benefit from the $2,000 yearly cap on out-of- pocket prescription drug costs, a $35 monthly cap/insulin prescription, and free vaccines.
54,000+ Granite Staters will save thousands of dollars per year because they were smart enough to sign up for the Affordable Care Act that lowers their health care premiums.
If our state and local officials are smart enough to open Biden’s programs for Granite Staters and not let them go to other states whose officials acted in a timely manner, everyone can benefit.
Specifics:

Save $537 annually, or 15.1% of their utility bill, through Biden administration grants.
Get 30% off the cost of solar panels, battery storage, heating and cooling upgrades, and weatherization. Tens of thousands of Granite Staters could install solar panels given the Federal financial assistance.
30,000 NH homes become eligible for affordable, high-speed internet through Biden’s Affordable Connectivity Program

President Biden has an Invest in America track record that is second to no other president. Not One. Each dollar grows the economy that serves us all into the distant future. Clean, cheap, and resilient energy will make New Hampshire healthier while it powers our homes and businesses. Health care will care for the health of us all because Biden worked to make it so. Roads, bridges, and waterways will not only function well, they will carry NH made goods to the rest of the world. Biden benefits NH now and will continue this benefit into the future
